In addition to used cars from Japan, South Korean cars like Hyundai and Kia also had a rise. The average of these two brands serve as an alternative choice when the Japanese car price is too high.
Unfortunately, these two brands are now getting worse since many cheap cars that have dominated the used car market. Marketing Manager Senior WTC Mangga Dua Jakarta, Herjanto Kosasih, explains the current movement of Korean cars increasingly heavy.
"Kia and Hyundai are getting heavier, used cars with cheaper prices, such as the Yaris and Jazz models in 2013, the price is currently very competitive, if you buy on credit, consumers would prefer Japanese cars from Korea," said Herjanto when contacted Otomania, Wednesday (21/12/2016).
Herjanto explained, the quality is actually a Korean car is pretty good, even some better than Japanese brands. But consumers in Indonesia on average more concerned with the brand first.
Teddy, owner of mobkas showroom at MGK also expressed similar things. According to him, one that makes the prestige of Kia and Hyundai less because the population is not as much as Japanese cars.
"Consumers are more familiar with cars, if the ordinary people would rarely want to take in. Units are also difficult because the population is very little," said Tedy.
