KTM MotoGP Official Big Bang Test Machine

Texas - Motorcycle KTM RC16 has not given satisfactory results after three rounds of MotoGP this season passed, KTM plans to test the big bang machine and will replace the screamer engine.

At the American Grand Prix race in Austin, Texas (23/4), KTM rider finished highest in 16th place through Bradley Smith.

The Briton scored 1 minute 22.090 seconds from the race winner, slower than four seconds per lap.

While Pol Espargaró did not finish after a problem on his motorcycle clutch.

This decline remembers the previous race in Argentina, both of them gain points.

That's why it will begin the next evolutionary stage with a 1,000 cc V4 engine. From now on screamer becomes big bang.

Tuesday, May 2nd, the second day MotoGP test will be held at Le Mans, France followed by Honda, Yamaha, Ducati, Aprilia and KTM.

"The first day of the tests were Pol Espargaró and Bradley Smith and test rider Mika Kallio, on Wednesday only Mika," explained Red Bull KTM team manager Mike Leitner told German-language speedweek.com.

Last November, Mika Kallio already knew that KTM was thinking of a big bang machine.

The KTM bog machine will be tested at Le Mans. "We have a new concept in preparation," Leitner said.

KTM is the only MotoGP manufacturer that still uses an aggressive screamer.

This is why Pol Espargaró has asked a usr friendly big bang during a pre-season test in Australia last February.

Bradley Smith also agreed if later KTM for the first time use big bang machine.
