Two highly exclusive race cars have been added to the portfolio of ALL TIME STARS, Mercedes-Benz Classic’s marketplace for classic vehicles. Stuttgart. This is the coveted opportunity to take a seat in the cockpit of your very own Formula 1 Silver Arrow or DTM race car: with their authentic pedigree in blue-ribbon motor racing, the two new additions to the ALL TIME STARS portfolio are a premium-quality proposition. One of the vehicles was driven by three times Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton. The other vehicle is a genuine DTM test car (“T-Car”) for the drivers and team. Both race cars impressed the public at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, which took place between 29 June and 2 July 2017.
One-off vehicles and examples of very small series are generally reserved for the company’s own collection. However, the Mercedes-Benz Classic collection already contains more than one example of both of these cars. That’s why ALL TIME STARS is now opening up these motor racing gems to the market. In doing so, the Mercedes-Benz Classic marketplace is responding to strong demand from top international collections for exclusive items such as these. Interested buyers will be provided with price details on request.
The ALL TIME STARS marketplace regularly features outstanding vehicles from the recent motor racing past and super sports cars built in small series. It helps encourage interest in Mercedes-Benz Classic from motorsports enthusiasts around the world. Highlights to date have included the sale of an AMG Mercedes C-Class (W 202) driven by Bernd Schneider in the 1996 season of the International Touring Car Championship (ITC) and the offer of sporty high-performance vehicles such as a Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II (“EVO II”, W 201) and a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 S Roadster (R 199). A highly exclusive Mercedes-Benz CLK LM from the 1988 FIA GT Championship has also already found a new owner via ALL TIME STARS.
Quality and transparency
“ALL TIME STARS” is Mercedes-Benz Classic’s marketplace for the brand’s classics and young classics. ALL TIME STARS aims to offer customers the greatest possible transparency. Each of the vehicles is therefore subjected to a thorough inspection based on a 160-item checklist. And each comes with a Classic Data Certificate showing that it has scored at least 2 for technical condition.
A part of the ALL TIME STARS portfolio is displayed in the showroom at the Mercedes-Benz Museum. Interested parties can view and purchase the vehicles here. A team of expert advisers is on hand to assist, with detailed information and vehicle descriptions.

MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS F1 W04, 2013
The race car, first presented in February 2013, was driven by Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton over the course of the season. Lewis Hamilton was the first British Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 works driver since Stirling Moss back in 1955. In 2013 the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS F1 team chalked up three wins, nine podium places and eight pole positions and finished the season in 2nd place in the constructors’ championship. The ALL TIME STARS vehicle was driven by Lewis Hamilton in 2013, and took him to victory in the Hungarian Grand Prix on 28 July 2013. Lewis Hamilton also earned another three podium positions in this car.
The basic concept of the F1 W04 represented a significantly refined evolution of the previous season’s car. The race car’s hallmark features include a new front wing design, consisting of five elements, and a second-generation Coanda exhaust at the rear. The F1 W04 has thrust arm suspension at the front and strut rod suspension at the rear to optimise the life and performance of the tyres. The engineers and designers made the rear end very compact. And instead of the stepped nose cone of its predecessor, the F1 W04 has an aerodynamically more advantageous vanity panel.
